Greene King Abbot Ale is a strong rich and robust ale, with a complex blend of flavour and aroma. It is enormously complex on the palate, rich in malt and ripe fruit with a superb hop balance, followed by an intense bitter sweet finish. These dark and delicious flavours develop as a result of an unusually long fermentation process that lasts a full seven days Greene King claim this ale is blessed by the Sabbath. Abbot ale is acclaimed by real ale drinkers to be the most superior of all real ales.

*At the Crossways you can enjoy premium draught beer, lager and cider for just £1.60 per pint every day in our mad quarters between 11.45am and 12 noon then again between 5.45 and 6.00pm every day (excluding Saturday).

Happy Hour's are between 5 & 7pm every day when IPA is reduced to just £2.10 per pint
Guinness, Fosters & Kronenbourg 1664 are reduced to £2.20 per pint
